Be Nurturing…

Both men and women are called to be nurturing.
Don’t be afraid to nurture your spouse or your children. Don’t be reluctant to nurture your friends. And remember also that we are called to nurture and help sustain this Earth. God gave us stewardship of this Earth. It is our job to take care of it.

The Dark Side of Me

I always believe that it’s better to ask stupid questins than make stupid mistakes. But it is not applicable to sarcastic person. If you’re dealing with one, better not to ask at all.

I am so impatient at times that I hate it when I keep repeating myself to someone. I am not the condescending type but I get easily turned off by people lacking common sense. I am not mean to others but has the tendency to be unforgiving…

When I raise my voice, people think that I’m mad or irate. Truth is, I’m just stressing my point and I want to be heard…

The Master’s Advice

When you ask for advice, ask from those who had achieved mastery themselves.

Ask advice on relationships only from friends who have deeply fulfilling relationships. Ask money advice only from those who are wealthy themselves. Ask advice on kids from your parents only if you are happy with the way you’ve been raised.

Precious Compliments

When people tell you nice things, stop shrugging them off as if they are nothing.

Precious Gems

The sincere compliments you receive are your jewels, – collect them in your heart, – they highlight the beauty of your being and empower you during challenging times. Never say ‘oh, it’s nothing’ or shrug your shoulders when you hear a sincere compliment. Pause, breathe it in, and really feel its meaning.

Choose A Happy Life

Been down lately? That’s a way of life. You can’t rid the world of sorrow, but you can choose to live in joy.

Sorrow is part of life...

Sorrow is with us not because we are bad at stopping it, but simply because it’s part of being human. What matters is not whether good or bad things happen – both will, but your relationship to them. Just think back over the last 24 hours, – what had you taken hard that you could have taken lightly?

True Faith…

True faith flowers from and through doubt.

Candle - True Faith

If you never questioned your beliefs, – you are just a puppet dancing to somebody’s strings. If God had wanted your mindless obedience, you would’ve been created without mind and without free will. But you have both so you can come to God of your own accord. Just look at the lives of saints, – most of them had gone through a dark night of the soul, and that’s why their faith was so strong. The path to true faith always goes through doubt. So ask those questions you’ve always been afraid to ask, and find the answers, and then your faith will become unshakable.

Music…

Just when I thought that my creativity was all gone, I found new passion in playing the guitar. It all started one fine night when electricity went out and I was so bored to death. My boyfriend taught me the basic chords and I can play simple songs such as “Leaving on a Jetplane”, “Horse with no name”, “Buloy” and “Torete”. To be honest, I was kinda amazed with my progress in learning how to play the guitar. Seems that I have hidden talent, too. Though I am not inclined to music and not a good singer, I still find it really fun to play the guitar! And I am checking more chords and new songs to play!

Love Poems

I can’t remember the last time I compose a poem. I usually make one when I am inspired. Different emotions lead me to composing various short stories and poems. Suddenly, I am missing all those times. Those moments when after crying all I do is hold a pen and scribble. The old times when I was able to create haikus, inspiring quotes and more. I wonder where my creative juices have gone right now. I guess, I’ve been preoccupied with serious stuff. Money matters, work, relationships and the like.

I wish to unwind and compose a new poem…

Never Give Up!

When you feel like giving up… think again!

Rest if you must but don’t you quit!

Making a solid effort can take you a long way, so even if your heart isn’t 100 percent into something, you should give it the old college try. The worst thing that can happen is that you get brownie points for trying — and a lot of appreciation from someone you care about. The best possible outcome is that you get into this endeavor and learn something new. Don’t shy away from things that make you uncomfortable.
